Here are a few reasons why we think you should work with us:
Whether you are in the start-up phase or thinking of re-branding your existing business, here are the steps we will take to help you succeed online. Let's get started!
The first step is to contact us to find out what we can do for you. Select your preferred method of contact and we will contact you as soon as possible to answer any questions you may have. If you already know what you are looking for, complete our request a quotation form and we will send a quotation to you as quickly as possible.
We recommend that you Google for other websites that you like the look and feel of. It may also help to research what others in the industry have already done. If you are not sure at this stage, don't worry, we will put some ideas together for you.
We will organise an initial consultation (face-to-face, email or over the phone) so that we can learn all we can about your business and goals and identify needs and timelines. We will work with you to gather our suggestions, discuss style ideas and theme, site structure and functionality until we have achieved our goal in addressing your requirements and the needs of your target audience. You may want to consider having a Content Management System (CMS) so that you can update the content of the site yourself.
The domain name (your website address, for example, yourwebsitename.co.uk, yourwebsitename.com) is a unique identifier on the internet which allows your site to be reached anywhere in the world. We can assist you in choosing and buying your domain name if you don't already have one.
This is where your website files will reside. We can offer hosting services to fit your site's needs.
At this point we should have enough information to put a quote together for you. Each part of the website development will be itemised and can include "Optional extras" if we think there are some additional features we have thought of that will work well with your website. You may want to add on additional facilities (an events diary, shopping area etc.) at a later stage, but it is good to know at the start that you may plan to implement these in the future, so that the website can be developed with these in mind.
If you accept our quotation we can agree deadlines for the project and start development. The first step will be providing a few web page draft designs for you to choose from. These can be tweaked until it has formed the final shape of the website, its content placement and navigation.
Once you have approved the design, it will be translated into a web template to form the site frame. We can then incorporate the content and graphics and develop any dynamic elements of the site (calendars, polls, database etc.). It is usually this step which takes the longest.
Once all the development is complete we will upload the website into a test area for you to test the site operations and functions. At this point, minor tweaking can be performed and final touches applied. During this period, our team will test the site to ensure that the application runs according to the initial specification and that the site operates within a variety of browsers.
We can setup email addresses on your domain which can be used for contact forms etc. on the website, for example, info@yourwebsitename.com.
Search Engine Optimisation (SEO) is simply taking steps to increase the amount of traffic a website receives from search engines. We will optimise your website pages for the search terms that you want to be found for. Optimising your site is very important as the success of a website hinges on the amount of traffic that it gets. Leaving Search Engine Optimisation out of your web design process prevents a site from reaching its full potential.
Upon completion of the project, we will make the site live and provide user documentation and training if required. We will submit your site to the major search engines such as Google, MSN, Yahoo, etc. so that your site appears in search results.
We can provide ad-hoc maintenance to the website or provide a yearly website maintenance agreement should you need to change content or require further development to the site.
